8 CBD Bars With Happy Hours To Chill After Work

The CBD has a reputation for being fancy and pricey, but there’s more than meets the eye. Like most bars in Singapore, happy hour also exists in CBD bars!

Want to have after-work drinks in the CBD without breaking the bank? We feel you.

That’s why we’ve put together this list of happy hour pubs, so you can have a great time with friends and colleagues or impress clients – while on a budget. All you have to do is order those drinks during the happy hour window!

1864 @ Sofitel

Located on the fifth floor of Sofitel, 1864 is a stylish bar which is jazzed up with art deco furniture.

If you can get out of work early, enjoy their $12 selected house beers, wines and spirits during their happy hour!

Heading there on a Friday? Be sure to order their select range of tapas that comes with a free flow of barrel-aged cocktails ($48).

Artemis Grill & Sky Bar

If you wish to have your happy hour drinks with a view, Artemis is a great option. This rooftop bar is located on the 40th floor and offers a breath-taking view of Singapore’s skyline.

Expect $10 beers, five gin & tonic options, cocktails as well as $15 premium wines during their happy hour, which happens from 3pm till closing.

Cocktail lovers, you might have heard of Jigger & Pony as it is no stranger to Singapore’s cocktail scene.

With a menu featuring classic cocktails with a twist, such as Sakura Martini and Yuzu Whiskey Sour among others, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

During happy hour, these cocktails go at $15 each. If you prefer bottled beers ($12) or wines ($14/glass), they’ve got options for you too.

The Exchange

With a minimalistic, open-concept space that spills from indoor to outdoor seating, The Exchange has become a hit with CBD workers.

On Ladies Night Wednesdays, ladies get to drink for free and choose from a reduced menu of house pour red and white wines, lime margaritas and vodka mixers.

For everyone else, happy hour beer buckets (from $40) and wine ($13.50 per glass) are available till 8pm.

If you feel like having oysters, Southbridge offers half a dozen signature oysters in three flavours you can choose from ($20) to accompany your drinks.

Their happy hour specials include beer (from $10), spirits (from $12) including Monkey Shoulder whiskey and Bombay Sapphire gin, as well as prosecco ($16 per glass).

Also, you’ll get to enjoy stunning views of the CBD skyscrapers from this level 5 rooftop bar as you drink.

The Secret Mermaid

Tucked away at the basement of Ocean Financial Centre, The Secret Mermaid has a unique layout of only bar stools facing racks of bottles.

Choose from a range of tropical-themed cocktails ($14) such as the Pinata and Hula Hoopy, or craft beers ($11) and house wines ($11) during their happy hour which lasts for 2 hours.

If you feel like munching, enjoy free tater tots that come with every round of drinks you order.
